Join us on Tuesday, April 30 from 4-6 pm at the store for a unique, fun-filled evening celebrating books and reading and YOU!
Mingle with wonderful local authors, meet experts who will "speed date" their top fave recently released books, preview new books coming out, learn about M. Judson's school initiatives to get kids reading and how we can work together and share our resources throughout the year. Libations, snacks, prizes, networking, new friends, and fun a-plenty! You'll leave excited, enthusiastic, and energized ... and with a free goody bag, too. This event is free, but you must register. Enrollment is limited to the first 100 guests. RSVP is required by April 25.
Our Educator Happy Hour will include 6 stations:
Local authors, Katie Kelly, Furman University professor and Lester Laminack, Professor Emeritus from Western Carolina in NC, will be signing their new book, Reading to Make a Difference. These two amazing educators have crammed this book full of suggestions for using children's literature to advocate for social change
Author Jo Hackl will showcase her book Smack Dab in the Middle of Maybe. A local favorite who has taken off like a rocket, Jo never disappoints, and her middle grade book doesn't, either.
Author Lina Maslow will sign her new book, Free as a Bird: the Story of Malala. Her book tells the inspiring true story of Malala Yousafzai, human rights activist and the youngest ever winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Ahead of the curve: This station will focus on "speed dating" upcoming new releases for K-3 and 4-6.
Bulk sales/Sales to school: Spend some time here to learn how M.Judson can become your preferred sourcing partner for your classroom or school.
Events and Etc.: Stop at this station to learn more about Read Up and other literary events in the area. We'd also love to hear any ideas, feedback, or ways we can support you; this station is the place to spill all that and more.
We hope you'll join us on Tuesday, April 30 for this free, fun night full of fun and gratitude for all that you do for our kids and our community. RSVP today!
