Mark Beaver is the author of Suburban Gospel (Hub City, 2016), a memoir about growing up in the 80’s Bible Belt. His prose has appeared in Gulf Coast, North American Review, Tampa Review, storySouth, Fugue, Southeast Review, Third Coast, Ninth Letter, and many other publications. He lives with his wife and daughters in Atlanta, where he teaches at The Lovett School.
Julia Franks has roots in the Appalachian Mountains and has spent years kayaking the rivers and creeks of Tennessee, North Carolina, and West Virginia. She lives in Atlanta, where she teaches literature and runs loosecanon.com, a web service that helps schools manage independent choice reading in the classroom.
