As You Wish, by Cary Elwes

The Princess Bride endures as one the sweetest, quirkiest, delightfully mischievous movies of our time. This tell-all memoir by the Man in Black himself, Cary Elwes, does justice to the spirit of the movie in a way I wouldn’t even have thought possible. The book was a lovely gift to me for Christmas, and I must confess that I approached it with a bit of trepidation. If the cast actually hated each other or Rob Reiner slung curse words and barbed jabs between takes, I just didn’t think I could bear having the movie marred in that way. In truth, the behind the scenes stories only enhanced my admiration for this talented crew and the chemistry that made this fairy tale movie special and authentic.
