Librarian of Congress

I’d never even thought about it, but if there’s a Library of Congress, why wouldn’t there be a librarian associated with it?  Seems so obvious once you know it’s there.

A couple of weeks ago, the US Senate confirmed Carla Hayden as the librarian of Congress.  Hayden was nominated by President Obama and will serve a 10-year term.  She is the first woman and the first African-American to hold the position.  Every now and then, maybe we actually get something right.
