In Conversation with Taylor Brown-"Gods of Howl Mountain"

We have always loved Taylor Brown’s novels— rich Southern storytelling in the spirit of Ron Rash and Wiley Cash. From his debut Fallen Land, set in the final days of the Civil War, to River of Kings, a braided history of two brothers traveling down Georgia’s Altamaha River, he’s concerned with the roots of a place, and how time holds a story. This spring he’s got a fantastic new book called Gods Of Howl Mountain. Set in the high country of 1950s North Carolina, this is a dark and twisty novel of family secrets, whiskey-running, vengeance and love.

We’re excited to host Taylor in conversation with Furman professor Stephen O’Neill, who specializes in the history of the American South. We expect these two are going to have a lot to talk about. Don’t miss this one. 7pm--free.
