Southern Author Festival at Greenville Library

Hey, y’all! Come see us at the Southern Author Festival at the Hughes Main Library, Saturday September 16, from 10:30-1:30pm. This year’s program is all about food, and the library will be hosting cookbook authors Alice Randall, of Soul Food Love, and Ashley English, of A Year of Picnics.

Alice Randall is the author of The Wind Done Gone, Pushkin and the Queen of Spades, Rebel Yell, and Ada's Rules. She is a Harvard educated African-American novelist who lives in Nashville and writes country songs. Randall has emerged as an innovative food activist committed to reforms that support healthy bodies and healthy communities. With her daughter Caroline Randall Williams she co-authored the acclaimed cookbook Soul Food Love.

Ashley English is the author of the Homemade Living book series, which showcases a variety of topics related to small-scale homesteading, as well as A Year of Pies, Handmade Gatherings: Recipes and Crafts for Seasonal Celebrations & Potluck Parties, Quench: Handcrafted Beverages To Satisfy Every Taste and Occasion, and A Year of Picnics.
