Jacqueline Woodson's National Book Award winning memoir-in-verse, Brown Girl Dreaming, is based in part on her childhood growing up in Nicholtown, and honestly ought to be required reading for everyone in this community. Woodson will be speaking across the Upstate on Thursday April 28. Sponsored in part by Presbyterian College and First Baptist Church in Greenville, she will have a book signing at M. Judson from 5pm-6pm. She will also be speaking at First Baptist at 7:30 pm. Admission is free.
