In Conversation with Ross Howell/John Jeter "Forsaken"

Join us for the next in our "In Conversation With" series as we welcome author Ross Howell Jr. and local playwright John Jeter to the store, Tuesday March 22 at 7pm. Howell is the author of Forsaken, a striking blend of fiction and nonfiction based on the execution of the only juvenile female in history in Hampton, Virginia in 1912. Jeter wrote about a lynching trial that took place in the courthouse that is now our bookstore.

The two will discuss their works and their themes of injustice, corruption, and racial conflict set in the poisonous epoch known as Jim Crow. Please join us for what's sure to be a riveting conversation. Howell's book will be available for purchase during the event.
