I've long said that I love to bake but only cook because I have to. I always thought it was just because dinner happens daily. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. It's too much. If dinner happened twice a week, I would be a dinner rock star. Alas.
Anna North of Blue Rider Press sheds a little more light on the differences between bakers and cookers in a recent post on LitHub. (Interesting. Maybe it's not just the every day-ness of dinner that makes me prefer baking.) Then she goes on to say that perhaps her kitchen preferences are likewise reflected in her writing style.
