A Book List for the AT

I’ve never been a real “rough-it” kind of girl, so I’ve never given much thought to backpacking.  My husband is a “rough-it” kind of guy, though, so I’ve certainly heard a lot about it.  I know it’s important to keep things as light as possible, that an ounce in your pack is a half a pound on your feet (or something like that), and that serious backpackers think through every thing in their pack. Every. Single. Thing.

So if you’re ready to rough-it, but also want to read along the way, what do you do?  You read Robert Moor’s post on the Powells Books blog.  He’s so authentic and sincere, it almost makes me want to rough-it.  But not quite.
