Francine Bryson is as delightful and down-to-earth as people come. Reading her cookbook gives you a lovely view into who she is. She shares stories with nearly every recipe – short little vignettes that tell about how she learned to be the amazing cook that she is and the family that surrounds her. I had the luxury of getting to have Francine herself point out the recipes that she thought my family would like best. The recipes proved as uncomplicated as she promised, and even tastier.
